Trump confirms Tuesday meeting between US and Iran in Qatar after strikes
By Ryan KingPresident Trump confirmed Monday that American and Iranian officials will meet Tuesday in Qatar after a volley of strikes between the two sides threatened to derail the fragile cease-fire.
"Iran has requested a meeting. It will take place tomorrow in Doha," Trump wrote in all capital letters on Truth Social.
Tehran has yet to confirm the talks are set to take place. Officials claimed over the weekend that the two sides agreed to cease hostilities.

Iranian drones had targeted a cargo ship last week, which prompted the US to fire off a barrage of strikes against the Islamic Republic in response. Iran then hit targets in Bahrain and Kuwait in response.
The violence threatened to upend peace talks between the two sides under the memorandum of understanding.
