The violent crew repeatedly knifed the victim in the back and punched and kicked him during the 7:20 p.m. attempted robbery on Webster Avenue near East 167th Street in Morrisania, authorities said.

The ruffians were looking to empty the victim’s pockets of cash but got away with nothing, according to police.
