Gang of masked thugs caught on camera fleeing brazen Calif. jewel heist
A gang of masked thugs was caught on camera carrying out a brazen heist at a San Francisco Bay Area outlet mall jewelry store in front of horrified weekend shoppers.
The smash-and-grab crew was filmed hitting up the Kay Jewelers outlet in Livermore at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.

Footage circulating on social media showed at least five perps — clad in face masks and hooded sweatshirts — sprinting from the outlet store with arm-loads of items stashed in black trash bags.
At one point, a bystander could be seen scooping up a toddler as the thieves stormed by.

It wasn’t immediately clear how much inventory the thieves actually managed to steal.
The suspects fled the shopping complex in a black Honda Civic before police were able to respond to the robbery, according to cops.
An officer later spotted the same vehicle traveling westbound on I-580 and briefly pursued it before quickly losing sight of it.
The suspects remain on the run, police said.
