President Trump shared a post from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on gas prices. Leavitt shared an article from FOX Business on the prices hitting a four-year low this month ahead of holiday traveling. She wrote, "The Trump Effect." Trump reshared the post to his Truth Social.
The national average for a gallon of gasoline fell to $2.89 last week. This is the cheapest gas has been in December since 2020.

The states with the highest prices are Hawaii, California, Washington, Alaska and Oregon. The states with the cheapest prices are Oklahoma , Arkansas, Iowa, Colorado and Wisconsin.
The news comes as millions of Americans are expected to hit the road this holiday season. AAA reports some 109 million Americans are expected to take road trips this holiday season.
