It’s hard to trump Trump.
The First Family faces an annual Christmas predicament — what do you get the president who has everything?
Lara Trump told The Post that purchasing a present for her father-in-law is a daunting Yuletide task.
“I feel bad because as the president of the United States, he’s giving so much to us as a country, we want to be able to give something great back to him. The truth is, for all of us, we’re like, ‘What do we get him?'” she said.
The mom of two, who is married to Eric, the youngest of Trump and his first wife Ivana’s three children, sticks with the one thing she knows the commander-in-chief is sure to keep close to his heart.
“Every year he gets basically framed photos of us with him. But he likes them. And a lot of them go on the desk behind him in the Oval Office,” she said.
“He already knows this is coming. This is the standard for him for Christmas and his birthday.”
And what presents does the president get for his grandchildren?
Lara said she has “a feeling Melania has a lot to do with the gifts.”
One favorite Christmas activity for the grandkids is “that he allows them to run up to his office . . . and get whatever candy they want. And he’s got quite the stash.”
The “My View with Lara Trump” host dished on the treats the president keeps at his desk at Mar-a-Lago, “the winter White House.”
“There’s always Starburst around. There’s typically the small Snickers and M&Ms. Although sometimes we’ve gone in and there have been the king-size candy bars, which, I don’t need my kids having those — but they’re very excited when that happens.”
On Christmas Eve, the Trump family — which includes Lara’s parents and most of Donald’s five children and their families — will attend mass together at Bethesda-by-the-Sea, the Episcopal Church where Donald and Melania married.
“I think everybody’s going to come down for Christmas, which is big . . . Don has five kids, Ivanka and Jared have three kids. We have two kids,” she said, Luke, 8, and Carolina, 6.
“I feel like our table just keeps getting bigger, which is nice. It’s nice to have a big family table for Christmas. Who doesn’t want that?”
Lara predicts 500 Mar-a-Lago members will share in their Christmas meal this year — and based on the star-studded guests that have shown up on Thanksgiving, she made guesses on who will be in attendance.
“Last year, Elon Musk was part of our family Thanksgiving table. His mom Maye was there . . . There are folks like Sylvester Stallone who live just down the street, who’ve been known to pop in.”
Lara and Eric, who got married at Mar-a-Lago in 2014, now live in Jupiter, FL, not far from Mar-a-Lago, where their Christmas tree is filled with “a lot of the traditional child-made ornaments that my kids have brought home over the years from school,” she said.
The patriotic sapling is also decorated with the official White House ornaments Trump gifted them during his first term.
“Some of our favorite ornaments have been those that actually my father-in-law and Melania have sent … that have their own special boxes that we get out every year. They’re beautiful.”
The couple also dons it with Donald-esque tree toppers.
“At the top of the tree, we usually do one MAGA hat … I don’t know why, just forever we’ve had this white MAGA hat,” she said.
This year, they decided to make their tree even greater — by adding the signature red one.
“We put two MAGA hats at the top of our tree this year,” she said. “So yeah, that’s how we’re rolling at our house.”
