A real thing that happened in Morocco:

Believe it or not, Morocco has woke laws that say you can't say mean things about people.

From The New Arab:

Moroccan law treats both insult and defamation as offences against personal dignity and reputation, with penalties applying whether the acts occur in person, through traditional media, or on social media platforms.

So this dude took to Facebook to mock a soccer team's club president, and after repeatedly calling the guy a donkey, police had to intervene and arrest him.

More:

According to court documents cited by Moroccan news outlet Alyaoum24 on Monday, the supporter had published posts attacking the president of a football club, accusing him of leading the team 'towards disaster' and repeatedly describing him as a 'donkey'.

The man was subsequently arrested, prosecuted and ordered to pay the fine.

Apparently calling someone a donkey on social media is super offensive in Morocco.

"Donkey" is degrading and insulting, so you can't say that or you'll get a $1,000 (10,000 dirhams) fine.

Imagine if laws like this applied to Chicago sports fans!
