Louisiana police bust "unusually nervous" men with carload of stolen ribeye, brisket

Have you ever seen a police department this giddy about a bust?

THE DAD WHO WROTE THAT POST:

Slidell PD realized the steaks had been braised when the two men stopped for a broken tail light were "acting unusually nervous."

Was it the flashing lights? No. Were there drugs in the car? Also, no. Their anxiety stemmed from something else entirely . . . a good old-fashioned beef heist.

You read that right.

The guys were sitting on an absolutely mind-blowing amount of meat:

Evidently, the duo boosted "approximately $1,500 worth of USDA ribeye steaks and slabs of beef brisket."

Instead of firing up the grill, both suspects, identified as 55-year-old John Garriga (Gulfport, MS) and 66-year-old Charles Walker (Biloxi, MS), ended up behind bars on felony theft and possession of stolen property charges.

They also reportedly possess "shoplifting records longer than a CVS receipt," according to police, so they're not due to get out anytime soon.

(Somehow I'm doubting they serve ribeye in county prison!)
