Death toll in Philippines earthquake rises to 32, hundreds injured

At least 32 people have died and more than 200 were injured in the Philippines on Monday. The offshore earthquake ruined buildings and sent a 3-foot tsunami toward nearby coasts.
Several buildings collapsed or sustained heavy damage in the city of General Santos, which was hit the hardest by the quake, NBC News reported.
Tsunami damage was reported in at least one coastal village on the southern Philippines coast. Smaller waves were measured as far away as Japan.
The quake is also being blamed for a landslide that killed 13 villagers, Philippine officials said. The U.S., France and New Zealand said they are coordinating with Manilla to provide support.
