DOJ sues Milwaukee over ban on masked feds

The Department of Justice this week sued the city of Milwaukee, Wis., over its ban on law enforcement wearing masks.

The move comes as the DOJ has successfully blocked other such bans, which many left-wing city governments implemented in response to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activities in those areas.

“This Court should join the growing number of others that are putting an end to this type of blatant unconstitutional regulation of the Federal Government,” the DOJ argued in the suit, according to The Hill.

It previously secured a judicial order blocking Philadelphia's ban on masked agents.

The U.S. Constitution includes a supremacy clause that establishes federal authority as the "supreme law of the land."
