Actress Michelle Trachtenberg who starred in television shows such as "Gossip Girl" and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” has died at age 39, according to multiple news reports.

Police sources told media that she was found Wednesday at her apartment complex in Central Park South in New York.

Her death is currently not being investigated as suspicious. 

Before her death, Trachtenberg had reportedly posted concerning pictures on Instagram where she looked frail. 

This resulted in fans becoming concerned about her health and wondering if she was on drugs or had drastic weight loss. But sources told the New York Post that she recently underwent a liver transplant, though a clear timeline of the procedure was not given. 

As of now, it is not known what caused her death, including whether it was related to complications from the transplant.
