U.S. unleashes ninth straight night of attacks against Iran

The U.S. military on Sunday night unleashed a ninth straight night of punishing aerial strikes on Iran, seeking to degrade Tehran's military capabilities after its attacks on American troops and ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command said the strikes began around 7 p.m. and media reports indicated a large swath of Iran was under a barrage.
"The strikes will continue degrading Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz," CENTCOM said in X.
