Shooting at Christmas tree lighting event in NC leaves four wounded

Gunfire erupted at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony in downtown Concord, N.C. on Friday evening, wounding four people, authorities said.
Police reported that the shooting took place just before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Union Street South and Corban Avenue during the annual event.
Emergency medical crews rushed the victims to a hospital where three are in critical condition and one is stable.
Concord Police, along with local fire and EMS personnel, were already on site for the event and quickly assisted with medical aid and evacuations.
Officials canceled the rest of the celebration after the shooting.
Authorities said they are reviewing video footage and interviewing witnesses to investigate the circumstances leading up to the violence.
