DOGE Dividend: Nearly 60% back Trump plan to give back some federal savings to taxpayers

Elon Musk's suggestion of using the savings from his Department of Government Efficiency's (DOGE) cost-cutting measures to reimburse Americans appears to enjoy broad support from the public, a recent poll has suggested.
Fifty-nine percent of registered voters supported the idea of sending 20% of DOGE savings back to American taxpayers while using the remaining 80% to reduce the deficit, according to a Napolitan News Survey. That figure included 31% who strongly support the measure, while 22% opposed it and 18% were undecided.
Support for the plan dropped to 45%, however, should federal spending increase, with 28% opposing it in that scenario and 27% unsure. Sixty-two percent, moreover, deemed it likely that DOGE would significantly cut waste in the government while just 28% were skeptical and 9% unsure.
Conducted Feb. 20-21, the survey questioned 1,000 registered voters and has a margin of error of +/- 3.1%.
