A federal judge on Monday dismissed a challenge to the establishment of the Religious Liberty Commission established under the Trump administration that had argued it improperly excluded certain religions.

The Interfaith Alliance and several non-Jewish and non-Christian groups sued, arguing that the commission was not in compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA).

U.S. District Judge John Cronan dismissed the complaint, citing a lack of standing and failure to state a claim.

The administration established the commission in a bid to review threats to religious liberty. The panel is expected to deliver its final report this year.
