With left wing violence ramping up, this week we cover Italy’s Years of Lead. This is a lesser-known civil conflict that happened within many Italians’ lifetime. Italy never reached official civil war status, but the death count steadily rose and life did change as violence continued to climb. The violence was terrorism in the plainest sense with bombings, kidnappings and assassinations. Both the far left and far right pulled off attacks. Operation Gladio had a little influence and France harbored criminals that they decreed were political refugees. For all the civil war hysteria talk, this conflict is a much more realistic future for America.
