Tim Tebow Calls Fatherhood “One of the Biggest Blessings in Life”

Tim Tebow is embracing life as a new dad, just months after welcoming his first child with his wife, former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow.
“It is awesome, it is one of the biggest blessings in life,” the 38-year-old told TMZ Sports in an interview published Wednesday.
According to US Weekly, the couple announced the birth of their daughter, Daphne, on July 7 in an Instagram post. Demi-Leigh shared that the baby’s name honors her mom’s aunt, who “stepped in as a grandma figure to me.”
“She was so special to my mom and I,” Demi-Leigh wrote. “A tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel and made everyone feel seen and special.”
“It’s a name that holds so much meaning,” she continued. “It’s inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years. Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can’t even begin to explain. But more than anything, her name reminds us that when you’re adopted into God’s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign — not in power, but in purpose, love and identity.”
Since Daphne’s arrival, the Tebows have shared glimpses of their new life together, posting updates as they brought her home and marked her early milestones.

“I want her to just know that she is loved and priceless to God,” Tim said while promoting his new book, Look Again: Recognize Your Worth. Renew Your Hope. Run with Confidence. “She would always know that.”
Four months into fatherhood, Tebow admitted he’s still adjusting. When asked about the biggest challenge, he said, “Just trying to do everything to protect her.”
The former Heisman Trophy winner and two-time national champion quarterback at the University of Florida now works as a college football analyst for ESPN.
“Studying for SEC Nation looks a little different this year,” he joked in August, posting a video of himself at his computer with Daphne asleep on his chest.
As for rumors linking him to Florida’s head coaching job, Tebow made clear he’s content with where he is.
“You’ve got to find someone that can galvanize the [fans] and bring Gator Nation back to where they want to go and back to where they’ve been,” he said during an October SportsCenter appearance. “This is a Florida team that has a really good defense and a very talented offense. This cupboard is not bare, but you have to find someone that can really galvanize and also keep these players in a time where it’s so easy to leave and transfer.”
