Townhall editor and Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich announced on Monday that she is leaving the network to host a new show on NewsNation.

Pavlich will host the new program at 10 p.m. on weekdays beginning in 2026, according to NewsNation’s press release. The new gig marks her first primetime hosting role after having worked at Townhall for 16 years and appearing on Fox News as a contributor since 2013.

“I am honored to join NewsNation during this dynamic period in its development, and the opportunity to anchor a primetime program is an exceptional privilege,” Pavlich said. “I look forward to bringing a fresh perspective on the news to Americans across the country, while presenting a venue for thoughtful debate across a wide spectrum of opinions. It’s a front row seat to history – I can’t wait to buckle in and get started.”

Fox News confirmed to the Daily Caller News Foundation that Pavlich is no longer a contributor at the network.

Pavlich has frequently appeared as a guest host on “The Five” and several other primetime shows. On NewsNation, she intends to cover a wide range of topics including free speech, immigration, culture and foreign policy, according to the press release.

Sean Compton, the president of NewsNation’s parent company, Nextstar Networks, praised Pavlich as a “unique voice” and a “tremendous asset” to the network.

“We’re pleased to give our primetime viewers an additional hour of political news and analysis that helps them make sense of the day’s most important headlines,” Compton said. “NewsNation has always been committed to delivering straightforward, fact-based journalism for all Americans, which includes presenting diverse viewpoints and original ideas. Katie is a seasoned journalist and commentator, and we believe her unique voice will be a tremendous asset to our primetime audience.”
