A worker at the Detroit Ford plant does not regret calling President Donald Trump a “pedophile protector” even thought it resulted in his suspension.

TJ Sabula shouted out to Trump while the president was touring a Detroit Ford plant on Tuesday, per Mediaite. He has been suspended pending an investigation.

The 40-year-old auto worker was greeted with a middle finger and a “f*ck you” by Trump after he shouted “pedophile protector!”

Sabula told the Washington Post he does not regret his actions.

“As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever,” Sabula said.

Sabula added he was concerned about his employment at the plant, stating he had been “targeted for political retribution” for “embarrassing Trump in front of his friends.”

“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” he said. “And today I think I did that.”

Sabula said he was a political independent.

He said he had never voted for Trump, but had supported other Republican candidates.

In a statement, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said Trump was right in the way he responded to Sabula.

“A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response,” Cheung said.

Trump later spoke with “CBS Evening News” anchor Tony Dokoupil about the auto industry.

Trump said it was “a good thing” Ford was struggling to find enough workers. He floated a theory that the auto workers could be replaced by robots.

“You’re gonna have a thing called robots, and robots are gonna be a big factor. I predict that robots are gonna be a big factor in the future and it’s gonna help out,” he said.
