Disney Visitor Dies After Jumping from Hotel Balcony in Shocking Incident

Witnesses have recounted the harrowing moment a 31-year-old Disney superfan leapt to her death at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in Florida.
According to the New York Post, Summer Equitz died on Oct. 14 at the Contemporary Resort after jumping from a 12th-floor balcony, according to reports. She had flown to Florida alone, without her family.
A married couple staying at the hotel described the horrifying scene, saying Equitz landed just 30 feet from where they were standing on the fourth-floor observation deck.
“One of the witnesses moved closer to see if she was breathing, which she did not appear to be,” the report said.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Equitz’s death.
