President Donald Trump’s animosity towards Dr. Anthony Fauci continued Tuesday as Trump said he grew tired of Fauci.
Trump’s assessment came after the release of journal entries by Fauci.
“He was a much bigger player in the Biden administration. I grew tired of him,” Trump said of the former White House medical adviser in an interview with “Fox & Friends.”
“He wanted to close everything down. I allowed it to be up to the governors,” Trump said, adding “many of the Republican governors didn’t want to close.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) publicly released more than 1,000 pages of Fauci’s journal entries.
Fauci wrote in one entry about how he used media appearances to communicate his message on the coronavirus to the public.

Fauci also wrote that he found the media attention “flattering” and that Trump’s White House was unhappy with him for getting attention from the press.
“Apparently the WH is very upset that I am being profiled and it looks like I am putting down the POTUS and becoming a star that outshines him. The press is playing into this as is the tweet storm. Very stressful!!” Fauci wrote.
Fauci will testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs CommitteeWednesday.
Paul has claimed Fauci lied under oath about gain-of-function research and the COVID-19 pandemic.
