Trump: FBI ‘Wasting Their Time’ Investigating Graham’s Death
President Donald Trump told reporters Tuesday he wished the late Sen. Lindsey Graham “ took better care of himself.”
President Donald Trump is not sure why the FBI is investigating the death of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), adding the bureau is “wasting their time.”
Trump spoke on the matter Tuesday from the White House where he was hosting Iraqi PrimeMinister Ali al-Zaidi.
A reporter asked the president, “Are you aware of why the FBI is looking into Senator Graham’s death? Have you gotten any updates on why they were at his home?”
FBI Director Kash Patel vowed to make “every necessary resource available” in investigating Graham’s death.
Trump said he was not sure why the FBI was investigating, since iGraham “had a problem” in his genetics. Trump added he wished Graham “took better care of himself.”
“His father had a very similar problem, as you know. It’s very unique,” Trump said. “At first, I heard it was clogged arteries. Because he did have clogged arteries. He had a problem with that. I wish he took better care of himself. I say, you can solve that problem.”
Trump said Graham also had back issues.

“You can detect it by if you have a very bad back — that’s a sign,” Trump said. “That’s a bad sign. So if anybody has a bad back, it’s a pretty rough thing to think about, but that’s one of the primary signs. And he would tell me he had a bad back.”

Trump said he’s aware of conspiracy theories surrounding Graham’s death, but in this case it appears no criminality is involved, concluding, “I think the FBI is wasting their time if they’re doing that.”
