NBC host Sara Gore has shared encouraging news with fans, revealing she is Cancer-free just months after announcing her Breast cancer diagnosis during a live television broadcast.
According to Page Six, the "Open House" and "New York Live" host posted an update on Instagram Sunday, saying her recovery is progressing well even as she continues the reconstruction process.
"I'm doing really well. Let's get that out of the way. Currently Cancer free. Hallelujah. ๐," Gore wrote.
She said she still has months of reconstructive treatment ahead but has noticed steady improvement in her recovery.
"I'm still in the reconstruction phase and will be for months. It's truly a journey," she wrote. "Healing has taken some time, but every week I've felt a little more like me again."
Gore also thanked supporters who reached out during her treatment, saying the outpouring of kindness helped her through some of her most difficult days.
She expressed gratitude for the books, flowers, meals, puzzles, prayers, cards, phone calls and text messages she received.

"Every thoughtful gesture that came my way. I felt EVERY bit of it," she wrote. "You carried me through some really hard days, and I'll never forget your kindness."
The television personality said she is preparing to return to both of her NBC programs and is looking forward to getting back to work.
"I'll be back on my shows soon and honestly can't wait," Gore wrote.
"Until then, I'm soaking up these last few slow mornings appreciating all the moments that usually move by too fast to notice. It's good to be here. I love you all."
Gore, 49, first revealed her diagnosis during an emotional appearance on "New York Live" in April. She told viewers she would be stepping away from her hosting duties to undergo treatment and surgery.
"It just felt right to tell you myself, I was recently diagnosed with Breast cancer, and I'm going to be stepping away for treatment and surgery," she said at the time.
Gore admitted she was frightened by the diagnosis despite knowing she faced a higher risk because both her mother and sister had previously been diagnosed with Breast cancer.

"I always knew I was high-risk. I always assumed this day would come. But let me tell you, you are never ready," she said. "Even when you catch it early because you're doing everything right, it is an emotional blow."
She also thanked her colleagues for supporting her throughout the experience and told viewers she planned to return.
"I'm going to come back better than ever, and I'm going to see you on the other side of this," Gore said.
Her latest update signals she has reached that milestone, with the longtime host now celebrating being Cancer-free while continuing her recovery.
