An Orlando woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal AlligatorAttack that occurred while she was swimming in a Central Florida river, prompting wildlife officials to issue renewed warnings about dangerous encounters during Alligator mating season.

According to Fox News, authorities said Brittany Clark was swimming with friends near the Barr Street Trailhead in the Little Big Econ State Forest along the Econlockhatchee River on Sunday when she was attacked by what officials believe was a very large Alligator.

Clark was transported to a hospital as a trauma alert but died from her injuries before arriving, officials announced during a Monday afternoon news conference.

Emergency calls released by local media captured the panic as the Attack unfolded.

"Bad, real bad please, hurry ... she's losing a lot of ... please hurry ..." a 911 caller said. "Someone got bit by a gator...."

According to a medical examiner's report obtained by the Daily Mail, Clark had been hiking with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and another friend before the group entered the river. After the Attack, Allison and the other friend pulled Clark from the water and began CPR until first responders arrived.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, and a contracted nuisance Alligator trapper responded to the scene.

FWC officials said a "very large" 13-foot Alligator was removed from the area where the Attack occurred.

An 11-foot Alligator was also removed nearby. Officials noted that alligators can become especially territorial during the current mating season.

"The FWC extends its deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time," FWC press secretary Ashlee Brahier Sklute said in a statement.

The fatal Attack marked the second reported AlligatorAttack in Central Florida within 24 hours and the third in the region over the past week.

On Saturday, a child suffered a hand injury after being bitten while fishing from shore at Nelson Fish Camp near Umatilla in Marion County. Wildlife officers later captured and killed an 8-foot-7-inch Alligator believed to be involved.

About a week earlier, a snorkeler was bitten in the Rainbow River in Marion County. Authorities temporarily closed the waterway while searching for the animal, then removed an 8-foot Alligator. The victim was later released from the hospital.

FWC said serious Alligator attacks remain rare but reminded Floridians that the state is home to about 1.3 million alligators living in all 67 counties.

The agency urged residents never to feed alligators, to keep a safe distance from the animals, to keep pets away from the water's edge, and to swim only in designated areas during daylight hours.
