This bitter rhetoric from the former Speaker of the House could be due to her growing lack of control. Maybe it’s one of the reasons for her decision to step down. The 85 year-old should have stepped down a long, long time ago, and now the leadership behind the Democrat Party are nothing more than geriatric dinosaurs—more fit for a tar pit than our nation’s Capitol.

Still, Nancy should stop being so bitter and cheer up. After all, she’s leaving Washington DC a very rich (if very old) woman. Her net worth is $270 million and some say it’s as high as $400 million. She got that stinking rich by means of insider trading. She knew which bills would benefit which corporation and her copious corporate donors kept her in the know. Over the past decade (since May 2014), the Pelosi investment portfolio has generated a cumulative return of approximately 816%, beating the S&P 500’s return of around 257% by an astounding margin of 559 percentage points.

People began following her trades to make money. A Pelosi tracker was created and it copies every trade she makes. Pelosi and her husband have made out like bandits because of their insider trading advantage, while people such as Martha Stewart served prison time for far, far less. 

She pushed Obama Care and said the bill had to be passed in order to find out what was inside it. Her party was 100 percent behind it. Obama care benefited big insurance companies and left medical care more expensive than before—but the perception was Pelosi and Obama were heroes.
