Last Sunday, December 8, in the early hours of the morning, a 23-year-old student became the victim of a barbarity; three men of Gambian origin, alleged illegal immigrants, brutally approached her while she was heading to a night bus stop near the Jonio metro station, in the north of the Italian capital.

According to the police reconstruction, the attackers immobilized her with violence, dragged her about 350 meters to an isolated area on Via di Valle Melaina and, in an act of unimaginable savagery, one of them raped her while the other two held her tightly, preventing any resistance.

The young woman, with her body and soul shattered, managed to scream for help to the driver of a nearby parked vehicle, who assisted her immediately and took her to Sandro Pertini Hospital.

There, the doctors not only confirmed the sexual assault through forensic examinations, but also alerted the authorities, triggering a police manhunt that has not yet caught the culprits.

The Carabinieri investigators, coordinated by the Roman prosecutor’s office, have identified the suspects as three Gambian citizens whose exact identity is being verified, although sources close to the case point to profiles of ilegal immigrants with records of vagrancy in the area.

The police have already begun analyzing the security cameras installed at the Jonio station and the adjacent roads, trying to determine if the attackers followed the victim from the metro or intercepted her at random on the street.

Previously here at Gateway Hispanic, we have denounced several violent acts similar to this case, committed by illegal immigrants many of them, exposing the resounding failure of lax immigration policies that prioritize invaders over the protection of Europeans.

This wave of sexual violence, which has multiplied the cases of assaults committed by foreigners by 30% just in 2025 according to preliminary data from the Italian Ministry of the Interior, this also coincides with the controversial plan of the Rome city council, led by a left that seems blind to reality, to house unaccompanied adult immigrants in Italian family homes for up to three years.

How many more victims will have to suffer before the failure of lax immigration policies is acknowledged?

Citizens demand not only a reinforcement of nighttime patrols, but firm measures such as the effective closure of borders and mass deportations of illegal immigrants. Unfortunately, nighttime insecurity, especially for women, is one of the costs of uncontrolled immigration that facilitates the entry of criminal elements.
