Sudanese Armed Forces massacre 45 Nubian civilians in Kauda with a “double-tap” drone strike: first they hit a civilian gathering, then deliberately bombed the vehicles evacuating the wounded to hospital - Gateway Hispanic
A drone attack today by the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in Kauda, located in the Nuba mountains, has resulted in the deaths of 45 civilians (so far), with dozens more wounded. The unprovoked attack, which targeted a civilian event, is being condemned as a war crime.
The incident occurred near the Kauda airstrip and was carried out in two waves. In a tactic known as a «double-tap,» the second strike from the drone targeted vehicles that were transporting individuals wounded in the initial attack to a nearby hospital.

This attack marks a return to a campaign of terror from the skies over the Nuba region, which has become a safe haven for many Sudanese fleeing the conflict-ridden areas in other parts of Sudan.

Persecution Project condemns this horrific attack and calls for immediate international attention to the escalating violence against civilians by the SAF– especially in the Nuba mountains. The deliberate targeting of civilians is a grave violation of international law but has been a favored tactic by the Islamist NCP/SAF for decades.
