Frisco Schools Locked Down Again Amid Repeat Email Threats

Several Frisco Independent School District campuses were placed under secure status on Wednesday after receiving emailed threats similar to those reported earlier in the week, marking the second such incident in days.
The Frisco Police Department announced in a social media post that it is investigating messages sent to multiple schools that echo those from Monday. Officials described the threats as likely non-credible but opted for caution by activating the secure protocol at the unnamed affected sites.
“The district notified us immediately, and our School Resource Officers and Detectives are working closely with school administrators to assess the situation and ensure the safety of students and staff,” the post stated.
On January 12, comparable emailed threats triggered a similar secure status across campuses, which was eventually lifted, as reported on by The Dallas Express. That episode prompted some parents to line up and pull their children from classes.
Authorities emphasized there is no known public danger from the latest threats.
“We take all threats seriously and are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone,” the police post added.
The department expressed appreciation for community cooperation during the ongoing investigation.
In an update posted at 10:25 a.m., Frisco police said that security officials and FISD staff had checked all affected schools and had been removed from secure status.
All campuses have resumed normal operations.
