Megan Rapinoe Pointing Blame At President Trump For US Soccer's World Cup Exit

Everybody’s got an opinion, and Megan Rapinoe is no different.

Heading into Monday night’s game against Belgium, one of the biggest headlines across the globe was the situation involving President Donald Trump, U.S. soccer forward Folarin Balogun and his red card.

Anybody who has a brain saw that the call on Balogun was horrible, and after Trump called up FIFA for a review, the organization permitted Balogun to compete implementing the exact rule that gave Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo the ability to play facing circumstances that are similar. But with my Uncle Trump involved, of course, leftists have their panties in a bunch, and former U.S. women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe is no different. Recently on her podcast “A Touch More: The Beautiful Game,” Rapinoe made the argument that the apparent distraction from Trump brought doom to the men’s squad.

“I think the distraction got to the team for sure in some type of way. Whether it was, you know, this red card situation, whether it was being in a public discourse with this president, all of the, you know, shenanigans and chaos that comes with the feelings on both sides of that. Whether you agree with it or not it’s, it’s just like it’s a lot to contend with,” said Rapinoe.

We like to think that Megan Rapinoe is one of America’s biggest idiots … and well … nothing has changed.
