This Is Cool Way To Play Classic 'Price Is Right' Game At Your Local Shooting Range
If you’ve ever watched “The Price Is Right,” you’ve probably seen them play “Plinko,” and now there’s a version you can play at your local shooting range.
If you haven’t seen how the game is played, you can always watch a clip on YouTube, but the goal is to drop chips at the top of a board, with the chips making their way down through a field of nails to a series of prizes. The “Second Amendment” version of “Plinko,” though, replaces the chips with clay pigeons, and instead of dropping them, you try to shoot them. A video posted to X on the DADA account provides a very helpful demonstration of this “Second Amendment” variant. In this case, the shooters in question are at an outdoor range and are using pistols chambered in the classic .22 Long Rifle cartridge to try to hit the clay pigeons before they reach the bottom of the “Plinko” board.
Taking a look, though, it seems like it could be fun, and you could even add some sort of classic pricing game to keep in the spirit of “The Price Is Right,” like maybe trying to guess the actual retail price of a firearm – without going over, of course – and to make it more challenging, you can always add various accessories (suppressor, optics, extra magazines, scopes, boxes of ammo, lights or laser sights). You can almost imagine the announcer going over the details of the package, with Drew Carey asking you to guess, with a magazine for getting it right.
Now, will we ever see this on “The Price Is Right?” Well, it may be a while in the best case scenario. First of all, the logistics of shooting in the studio could be a little difficult – safety always should be kept in mind when exercising one’s Second Amendment Rights.
Then, of course, there’s the issue of California’s gun laws, which rank as among the most onerous – if not the most burdensome – in the country. Then again, the Second Amendment Section of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division has been suing states over gun bans, so maybe things won’t be so… infringed.
So who knows? Maybe we’ll see a special Second Amendment-themed “Price Is Right” show one of these days!
