Music Producer Behind Drake, Travis Scott, Eminem Hits Dies Mysteriously At 29

Police said they found influential record producer Tay Keith dead in his Nashville apartment Thursday at the age of 29.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) issued a statement June 18 on X confirming his passing and saying they did not suspect foul play. They noted that Grammy-nominated producer’s legal name was Brytavious Chambers.

Their statement continued, “He was found dead in his Martin St apt this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check. His death is unclassified pending autopsy results.”

Keith was recognized for his work with several prominent artists including Travis Scott, Drake, Eminem, Lil Baby, and BlocBoy JB, according to TMZ

The circumstances that led to Keith’s death were not disclosed.

The talented producer was nominated for a Grammy for his 2018 collaboration with Travis Scott on “Sicko Mode,” according to WSMV 4.

Some of his most notable production credits include Drake’s “Nonstop,” BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive,” and Beyonce’s “Before I Let Go.”

Keith produced Sexyy Red’s 2023 breakout song “Pound Town,” launching her to commercial success. He went on to collaborate with her on “Pound Town 2” and “Get It Sexyy.”
