According to a report from talkSPORT, FIFA doesn’t have a problem with Trump giving the World Cup trophy to the captain of the winning team. The moment would come July 19 when the final is hosted at MetLife Stadium. And not just that, but FIFA also reportedly doesn’t mind if Trump stays with the players during the celebration after the trophy is handed out.

Trump has previous experience handing out a FIFA Trophy, doing so at the FIFA Club World Cup final in 2025. Then, Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain, 3-0, with the president remaining on the stage while captain Reece James raised the trophy. While the players jumped up and down in celebration, Trump was right in the middle of things standing, clapping and smiling.
