MLB Issues Warning To Franchise's Players For Having Bible Verses On Hats Meant For Pride Night: REPORT
The San Francisco Giants recently held a “Pride Night,” and during so, players on the team were sporting hats that featured the franchise logo being rainbow-colored.
Staying true to their faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, numerous San Francisco pitchers wrote verses from the Bible on their caps. Starting pitcher Landen Roupp, one of the hurlers, talked following the contest about why he scrawled the verse, stating that it was the representation of “God’s covenant.” (RELATED: Multiple San Francisco Giants Players Rebel Against Pride Night By Writing Bible Verses On Hats)
“It’s just about God’s covenant and a promise that he makes to us that, you know, his faithfulness and his mercy,” said Roupp to the media, per OutKick. “That’s just kind of something I believe in, and I stand firm in that, and I’m thankful we live in a country where, you know, we have the freedom to believe what we want … and express what we want.
“There’s no hate at all. It’s just what I stand for, and what I stand in. I believe in God,” added Roupp.
After three San Francisco Giants pitchers appeared in Friday’s game with Bible verses written on their Pride Night caps, MLB issued a warning that similar behavior will not be tolerated.

As expected, the players expressing their Christianity wasn’t received well by sportswriters on the political left as they threw criticism at Roupp and his fellow pitchers. The backlash led to Major League Baseball getting involved.
According to a report from The Athletic, an official within MLB has “warned” the Giants pitchers not to write on their hats and be in violation of the rules.
“The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations,” said MLB chief communications officer Pat Courtney in an official statement.
