'It Is Selfish And Narcissistic': Stephen A. Smith Says Trump Has 'No Business' Going To NBA Finals

God forbid a Knicks fan go to a Knicks game.

ESPN icon Stephen A. Smith pleaded last week with President Donald Trump to not go to Monday night’s New York Knicks-San Antonio Spurs game, which takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The contest is Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

“I don’t want him there,” said Smith. “It has nothing to do with politics, policy, or anything like that. But you know how my Uncle Trump is: He does what he wants. And in this case, he didn’t listen to Stephen A. It’s anticipated that the president will be attending Game 3, and why not considering team is looking to take a 3-0 lead and be just one game away from winning an NBA title?

Monday morning on “First Take,” Smith once again addressed Trump being in attendance for the game.

“This president has no business showing up in New York City. I am dead serious. It is selfish. It is narcissistic. It is ridiculous that he is coming to this game. I would say the same thing if it were [Barack] Obama, George W. [Bush], [Bill] Clinton — I don’t give a damn if we went back to [Ronald] Reagan. This is not a football stadium in some space in Texas where you’ve got a whole bunch of outlays and all these — this is the Gardens, this is midtown Manhattan. Do you have any idea what the conjestion is going to be like?” exclaimed Smith.

WATCH:

I get where Stephen A. is coming from, but considering how Trump is a fan of a team who hasn’t won since 1973, you gotta give him a pass.
