Even before New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was sworn into office, the liberal media establishment was already chipping away at his carefully crafted image as NYC’s socialist redeemer.

Mamdani didn’t get much of a honeymoon. The new mayor was sworn into office in the early hours of New Year’s Day, but before his Quran-filled inauguration took place, the liberal media had harsh criticism for the chosen location. While his left-wing policies will be popular among the anti-American elites who run our nation’s media outlets, the piece highlights that his tenure as mayor won’t come without purity checks.
