A violent fight erupted between two men in the baked goods section of a downtown Los Angeles Whole Foods store, with the chaotic scene captured on video as one slammed the other into a pastry display.

In the video, the two men grapple fiercely in the bakery aisle of the Whole Foods store as a person appearing to be an employee desperately attempts to intervene and break up the fight.

One man violently slams the other into a pastry display case at one point, sending items scattering before both crash to the floor. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the brawl occurred Dec. 10 around 2:42 p.m. at the Whole Foods in Grand Avenue’s 700 block, per ABC7 Los Angeles.

Neither man appeared to sustain serious injuries, but both left the scene prior to police arriving, according to authorities, who confirmed no active investigation is ongoing.

The cause of the altercation remains unknown at this time.

Wasting pastries is one thing, but doing it at Christmas time is a blatant crime against humanity. That alone should trigger an investigation from the police.

But honestly, I wouldn’t expect anything less from a city like Los Angeles. It’s the same city that has mobs of kids robbing businesses all the time.

I would say “we need to do better” like I always do, but I know we won’t.
