Actor Andy Dick slurred his words and refused to seek professional help after reportedly overdosing on crack cocaine, according to footage.

The video was shot days after bystanders tried desperately to revive Dick when he was found slumped on a Hollywood street from an apparent overdose, according to TMZ. The actor told the outlet he was smoking crack cocaine when the overdose occurred. A Wednesday interview inside his Los Angeles home captured his detached and alarming responses to questions about his health and ongoing battle with addiction.

When asked if he was considering going to rehab, Dick mouthed the words, “Fuck no,” and, “I’m not going to be in rehab,” as two friends sitting next to him voiced their support for professional assistance.

Dick slurred his words in the video clip and seemed either unaware or unconcerned about reportedly being found having overdosed.

TMZ’s reporter directly asked Dick if he was going to get professional help.

“When you say professional, should I call Dr. Drew again?” He said, then threw the question back at the reporter by saying, “Do I need help? Do we all need help? Do you need help?”

TMZ probed further by asking, “Do you think that you’re in a good place right now?”

“I love it! I’m surrounded by my two friends who — they won’t — you know, it’ll be hard for me to escape from them … But I will escape,” Dick responded. He gestured, pointing at the room which appeared to be in rough condition as his two friends that sat on either side of him.

One of the star’s friends expressed the need for a wider support system.

“We love Andy, but we can’t always look out for him — so he has so many friends in this world — so we’re just kinda asking for everyone that he knows to look out for him and check up on him ’cause, you know — he goes through hard times too, and we all love him,” he said.

“I’m gonna be a little more strict on him, though,” the friend continued before asserting that he’d be stopping people from encouraging Dick’s allegedly destructive behavior.

“Don’t give him anything,” he said.

“I didn’t feel like I’d have to put myself out there like that, but now I know I do.”

Dick said he spoke to his family but told TMZ he didn’t want to elaborate further in a second clip. Later in the video, Dick seemed to suggest he relished in the attention he received after he reportedly overdosed on drugs.

“That’s when I think I need to up it a notch, and pretend like I’m dying even more,” he told TMZ. (RELATED: Comedian Andy Dick Reportedly Overdosed On Streets Of Hollywood)
