'Home Improvement' Star Accused Of Threating To Kill Girlfriend
Zachery Ty Bryan’s ex-girlfriend accused the “Home Improvement” star of punching her and threatening to kill her in summer 2025.
The unidentified female told police Bryan punched her in the right temple July 3 after she playfully bit his nipple while they were lying down together and he responded by punching her in the right temple, according to court records reviewed by TMZ. The woman alleged that days later, Bryan threatened to end her life and said, “Shut the fuck up or I’m gonna shut you up,” according to TMZ. The woman, who said she dated Bryan for three months, told police that he snatched their dog during the verbal incident, locked himself in a room, then began punching the door with such force that it split from its frame.
She also alleged that Bryan sprayed their dog in the face with bleach in June.
TMZ reported a judge granted a five-year restraining order against the child star. Bryan was ordered to stay 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend until Sept. 29, 2030.
This is not his first run-in with domestic violence related incidents. Bryan was taken into custody January 1 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina after he allegedly punched and choked a woman, and threatened to kill her.
He was previously arrested for domestic violence in July 2023 and pleaded guilty in 2021 to menacing and assault in the fourth degree stemming from a 2020 case in which he allegedly strangled his girlfriend, according to TMZ.
Bryan’s run-ins with the law include two arrests for DUI in 2024.
