Testing?! … Just give it to us, Chick-fil-A!

Chick-fil-A has announced plans to trial two new chicken-and-waffle sandwiches in a couple of markets.

According to a Nov. 11 email from Chick-fil-A to USA TODAY, select Baltimore restaurants will trial the “Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich” and the “Chicken & Waffles Sandwich,” while certain San Antonio locations will test the Chicken & Waffles Breakfast Sandwich. While supplies last, the trial will run from Dec. 1 to Jan. 24.

Taking to Facebook in a Nov. 5 post, a Westminster, Maryland restaurant provided a description for the Chicken & Waffles Sandwich that read, “crispy chicken stacked between warm maple waffles, all with a touch of smoked bacon.”

The graphic accompanying the post indicates the sandwich will be offered with either original or spicy chicken. The breakfast edition, which appears to be a little smaller, can be purchased until 10:30 a.m.

Like what the headline says, this is pure chicken genius, but Chick-fil-A, what are we up to? Why are we just not releasing this everywhere?

As a chicken and waffles enthusiast, I can honestly say this isn’t right. I even got my wife to add chicken and waffles to our family’s dinner menu, scheduled for every two weeks. (I tried talking her into it every week, she wasn’t having it.) But my point is, if anybody knows the importance of chicken and waffles, knows what it does for an American’s soul, it’s me.

And what me wants is for Chick-fil-A to unleash their lovely chicken and waffles to all of us … WE WORK HARD, DAMMIT!!
