It’s expected that the heaviest rainfall will remain near the North and South Carolina coasts, with 1-2 inches of rain possible.
According to the FOX Forecast Center, the system will generate winds that are expected to increase from the north and northeast across North Carolina’s Outer Banks, possibly triggering more coastal flooding and erosion.

The exact location of where the area of low pressure will form still isn’t clear, however, it’s “certain” the system will start to head offshore Tuesday, according to the FOX Forecast Center.
