Jasmine Crockett Seriously Thinks Republicans Are ‘Threatened’ By Her And AOC

Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett claimed on “The Conversation with Dasha Burns” Friday that she believed the political right was promoting her due to perceiving her as a rising star that could eat into their constituency.
Crockett has gained notoriety through her racially-charged diatribes and incendiary attacks on Republicans, such as dubbing wheelchair-bound Texas Gov. Greg Abbott “Governor Hot Wheels.” However, she told host Dasha Burns on the Politico podcast that the right boosts her and Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because they overlap with President Donald Trump’s support. (RELATED: Dem Rep Thinks Potential Gov’t Shutdown Could Save Bureaucrats From Getting Booted By Trump Admin)

“I do believe that they see us as threats and they are trying to thwart those threats before they rise too much,” Crockett said.
Burns asked why the right seemed to attempt to “elevate” her and Democrats such as Ocasio-Cortez as “the faces” of their party.
“I think that personally they are threatened,” Crockett replied, touting her socialist colleague’s elite fundraising and ability to draw large crowds.
“And a lot of the people that I believe that he wants to appeal to, AOC is one of the few people that can actually break through. I would argue that as much as I go against him, I would imagine that I get some of those folk too,” she added, repeating her previous claim that Trump targets her because Republicans admire her.
“I have been in all kinds of cities and airports and otherwise where people walk up to me — and of course they don’t have an ‘R’ on their forehead — but they tell me that they have a different view when it comes to politics, but they love me,” Crockett said. “And so I think it is that that actually concerns him. And it is a reason that he wants to make sure that he is doing everything that he can to stop us. But honestly, he only elevates us,” she added. “It only makes people look at us and say, ‘Man, if he’s threatened by AOC, who’s still in her 30s, and me, who’s still technically in my early 40s — two women that are in the House — they must be doing something right.”
Trump has repeatedly taken aim at Crockett, labeling her “a low-IQ person” and ridiculing the idea that she could lead the Democratic Party.
Ocasio-Cortez also claimed in 2021 that Republicans attacked her due to their “deranged sexual frustrations.”
