Superstar Player Makes One Hell Of Claim Against MLB After Scandalous Scene

Oh yeah … you can definitely tell we’re close to October.

Following a 74-88 finish in 2024 that saw them finish dead last in the American League (AL) East, the Toronto Blue Jays shot up like a rocket in 2025, clinching a surprising playoff berth. But it’s not just about making the postseason for the Jays, they’re looking to clinch their first division championship since 2015.

Going into Tuesday, Toronto had a two-game lead in the division over the New York Yankees, and their advantage is during a time when the pinstripes have put up a 20-10 record the past month. In their last 20, they’ve gone 13-7. However, the Jays still have the opportunity to achieve the best record in all of the American League, and as a result, can scoop up home field advantage throughout the AL postseason. In other words, the stakes are very, very high for the Jays. (RELATED: Guardians’ David Fry Carted Off Field After Getting Bloodied By 99-MPH Pitch From Tigers’ Tarik Skubal)

With this being the case, the players are going to be on edge and have a focus on literally every single call from umpires, every little detail on the field and every opportunity to score. That’s exactly what’s going on with Toronto right fielder George Springer, who had some quite questionable calls bringing down his game Tuesday against the Boston Red Sox. And they were so bad, at least to him (you be the judge), he was caught on camera making one hell of a claim about MLB and the Yankees, saying that the league wants them to win the AL East.

In the second inning of action, it was an entire sequence of events that ended up making Springer livid, and sitting from my desk, I get it. Facing a two-out situation with the bases loaded, Springer knocked a ground ball down the third base line, and it appeared to go over the bag to make it a fair ball. However, the umpire didn’t see it that way, calling it foul and taking away two runs from the Jays, and honestly, it could have been more. Springer was furious, but Toronto couldn’t do anything about it with the play not being reviewable.

But things didn’t end there for Springer. On the next pitch, facing a 2-2 count, home plate umpire Doug Eddings hit him with the strike three despite the throw seemingly being outside.

Afterwards in the dugout, Springer was seen on video implying Major League Baseball is rigging the division for the Yankees.

“If they want New York to win, just tell me and give it to them already,” according to Jomboy Media.

I have nothing against the Yankees, I root for them because of two former Marlins (Giancarlo Stanton and Jazz Chisholm Jr.), but can you blame George Springer for getting mad here?

Lord have mercy, the umpiring … I don’t want to say it was bad, but it was pretty damn bad. And I can see why some say “corrupt.”
