16-Year-Old Breaks World Record With 'Most Impressive Athletic Feat Ever'

Say hello to an instant legend, ladies and gentlemen!
A high school runner, 16, is being praised after he had an absolutely incredible performance in a 800-meter race. Quite frankly, it was one of the best we’ve ever seen in the sport. The athlete is from Fort Worth, Texas.
Cooper Lutkenhaus, attending Justin, Texas‘ Northwest High School as a junior, came in second place Sunday in his U.S. Track & Field Championships race in Eugene, Oregon. The triumph literally saw him come from behind. In fact, it was such a crazy feat that it has the entire track and field world chirping, and his performance is even being branded “the most impressive athletic feat in history.” (RELATED: Star NFL Rookies Get One Of Coolest Gifts They’ll Ever Receive In Entire Lives)
In most of the event, Lutkenhaus was at the end of the group. But when the race approached its final 200 meters, he cranked up his speed and dashed from seventh to second place. It was such a great sprint that he ended up breaking the world record for his age class with a time of 1:42.27.
Lutkenhaus even came just a step away from beating champion Donovan Brazier, who finished with a 1:42.16 time. In the history of the United States, it was the fourth-best time ever and it broke Lutkenhaus’ personal record by a full three seconds.

The author of “The Science of Running,” Steve Magness, rained down love on Lutkenhaus’ performance. Going by both his age and experience in the sport, Magness said that it was “the most impressive athletic feat in history.”
I don’t know how to explain it. It is the most mind blowing HS performance in history.
Any high school phenom in history you can think of? This kid is better.
I never thought we’d supplant Jim Ryun as the HS runner GOAT, but a sophomore in HS just did…
Insanity.
