Porn Star's Selfie Tour Captures Everything Wrong With Online Men

If you aren’t familiar with the Gen Z slang term ‘Gooner,’ it roughly means a man who is addicted to porn or overly sexualized content. A single 35-year-old who subscribes to OnlyFans? Gooner. A college kid who spends every waking hour between classes combing through PornHub? Gooner.
Now, if you aren’t familiar with the online harlot Bonnie Blue, then I apologize in advance for crushing your blissful ignorance. To sum her up as succinctly (and demurely) as possible, she became internet famous for sleeping with over 1,000 men in roughly 24 hours – and documenting all of it. Disgusting, I know. Unfortunately, she went viral (in more ways than one) while taking a tour of a spring break oasis in Mexico with a bunch of doughy degenerates.
Bonnie Blue was spotted hanging out with college dudes in Cancun, taking selfies at a pool and in hotel bedrooms. All the men in her presence seemed utterly smitten and were clamoring to pose for a picture with the porn star. Allegedly, some were ripping shots from various parts of her body.
Some dark things are going on here.

First, the pursuit of social media clout is a very dangerous temptation. Chasing likes, on this platform or that, warps your sense of what is right and what is wrong, making you say things or do things you wouldn’t otherwise say or do. (Subscribe to MR. RIGHT, a free weekly newsletter about modern masculinity)
Why? Because on social media, you are always rewarded for being super edgy, provocative, unhinged, or just plain sexual. Men will debase and degrade themselves by taking a selfie with Bonnie Blue because a selfie with her makes you seem cooler, like you brushed shoulders with someone famous, and gets you more likes on Instagram than taking a picture of a sunset in Cancun. Bonnie Blue will do worse to herself because she is rewarded for it, through likes, subscriptions, money, headlines, etc.
Not only does social media trigger your status-fixated, lizard part of the brain, but it also numbs your ability to empathize with another human being. When men are numbed like this, they can’t see the tragedy in Bonnie Blue’s story. There will likely come a time in her life – maybe not this year, but decades down the road – when she will feel destroyed emotionally and spiritually because she sold her body to get famous on the internet. The Gooners are simply fueling her tragic self-destruction.
I’m not trying to be a finger-wagging scold. Spring break is a fun time, and young men should enjoy it. But the guys who are bending over backward to take a selfie with a porn star are probably one of the many reasons why (most) modern women think (almost all) modern men are no good, very rotten degenerates who “only want one thing.” Sadly, in some cases, it’s true.
