Caitlin Clark Finds Herself Back On Injury List, Which Explains Horrendous Play As Of Late

Ahh … now it all makes sense.
Earlier in the season, Indiana Fever phenom Caitlin Clark missed a solid amount of time due to a quad injury, and unfortunately for her, she’s found herself right back on the injury list.
Back on June 14, she made her comeback from the quad issue by lighting up the defending WNBA champions — New York Liberty — for 32 points, but she was dreadful Tuesday against the Seattle Storm. In that contest, she put up six points while only hitting three out of 13 shots. In the game before that against the Golden State Valkyries, she only tallied 11 points off 3-of-14 shooting. And now she’s returned to the bench. (RELATED: Angel Reese Finds Herself In Middle Of On-Court Tension That Nearly Leads To Brawl)
The Fever made the announcement Thursday that Clark will miss the upcoming game taking on the Los Angeles Sparks, stating that she is suffering from a left groin injury. And now it all makes sense why she’s been playing so bad lately.
There’s currently no public timetable for when she will make her second comeback this season.
The former Iowa Hawkeye averages a stat line of 18.2 points-per-game, 8.9 assists-per-game and 5.0 rebounds-per-game.

Caitlin Clark’s injury actually messed up a 4-leg parlay that I have for today. Instead of the Fever, who I was originally rockin’ with, I had to pick the Las Vegas Aces to get a win along with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Still a power parlay, but it would’ve been nice to have CC-backing. At the same time … that injury … who knows what would’ve happened.
