Caitlin Clark’s Teammate DeWanna Bonner Looking For Trade Amid Absence From Fever: REPORT

Uh oh! We’ve got some drama in Indianapolis!

DeWanna Bonner, a forward for the Indiana Fever, wants a trade out of the city, according to a report from Front Office Sports. And this is extra interesting when you consider the fact that Bonner has been away from the franchise for a while now.

The news was broken Tuesday by FOS, only hours prior to the Fever squaring off against the Seattle Storm in a Tuesday night road matchup. It will be the fifth straight game missed by Bonner because of “personal reasons.” (RELATED: Fever’s Sophie Cunningham Embraces Being Caitlin Clark’s Bodyguard After WNBA Refuses To Protect Her)

“The two-time WNBA champion has no interest in returning to play for the Fever. [Multiple league] sources indicated Bonner’s preferred landing spots are with the Phoenix Mercury or the Atlanta Dream,” reported Front Office Sports.

Bonner reportedly had a tough beginning in Indiana, not clicking with the team completely.

Now I don’t know too much about DeWanna Bonner and her situation, but I can’t help but to feel like she’s playing with some serious fire here. I mean, just imagine if she got traded from Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever to the worst team in the league in the Connecticut Sun, who she’s already played for by the way.

That’s why I’m saying, she’s taking a big risk, but sometimes you just need a fresh start, I guess.
