Republican South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace “trapped” Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz during a congressional hearing Thursday by confronting him over his comparison of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to Nazi Germany’s Gestapo.

Walz suggested U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was “Donald Trump’s modern-day Gestapo” in a May 17 address. Mace confronted him on the comparison, pushing him to acknowledge the horrific acts of the Nazis and asking whether he knew ICE had not committed such acts.
