Sabres Broadcaster Pulls Hilarious Move After Getting Popped In Face With Puck, Becomes Absolute Legend In The Process

One of the greatest stories in hockey history right here!
Rob Ray, a broadcaster for the Buffalo Sabres, was incredibly tough during his playing days in the NHL. With that being said, though, I’m sure he’d tell you that he’d rather not get smashed in the face with a puck after it flies into the booth while broadcasting. And yes, that’s what happened to him recently.
He responded in absolutely hilarious fashion Tuesday night. (RELATED: ‘We’re So Lucky’: Florida Panthers’ Matthew Tkachuk Keeps It 100% Real About How Much He Loves Being An American)
If you didn’t see, Ray was popped with a puck right in the face Saturday night when the Sabres were squaring off against the New York Rangers in Buffalo, resulting in him screaming…
Well, just listen.

And what did he do in response Tuesday night?
Hilariously sitting in the nosebleeds!
Rob Ray will contributing to the broadcast from the VERY LAST ROW of the 300 section tonight to avoid getting hit with another puck 😭🤣 pic.twitter.com/cdcc5lyo3M

And it gets even better: My man was getting his grub on while up there!
This is the best Sabres content we’ve gotten all season.

Rob Ray is one of us.
He needs to be protected at all costs.

And then to officially launch Ray into legend status, he was eating hot dogs while broadcasting! One of us!

The NHL needs to assign Rob Ray to the next Stanley Cup Finals after this — what a boss!
