‘We’re So Lucky’: Florida Panthers’ Matthew Tkachuk Keeps It 100% Real About How Much He Loves Being An American

I love my Cats and I love my country, so this is double-cool for me.
Matthew Tkachuk, a superstar who plays for both the Florida Panthers and Team USA, absolutely loves being a Stanley Cup champion. With that being said, however, it doesn’t even compare to what he experienced representing the United States of America.
Making an appearance Monday on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” one of South Florida’s finest chopped it up about the 4 Nations Face-Off championship, which ultimately ended in a 3-2 overtime defeat for the U.S. against Canada.
“The last two weeks representing my country was something I’ll never forget,” said Tkachuk. (RELATED: USA-Canada Championship Brings In Record-Breaking Ratings — In Other Words, NHL Just Struck Gold For Life)
And that’s what really stuck out about this interview … his love for America.
“The thing that I’m most proud of with that team was how much pride we showed in representing our country and being Americans. We’re so lucky to be from this great country and to be able to represent [that],” said Tkachuk.
“Just to be able to represent and look down and see the USA crest – there’s nothing that’ll beat that. So, it’s incredible.”

Just imagine how much more glorious the United States would be if everybody was as patriotic as Tkachuk.
