The dude deserved it, plain and simple.

It’s been a bad season for the Arizona State men’s basketball program, and things just got a lot worse as they have been forced to kick their top scorer, BJ Freeman, off the team. The school announced the decision Sunday after several on-court incidents involving Freeman. Starting his college basketball career at UW-Milwaukee, Freeman averaged 13.7 points per game for the Sun Devils in the 2024-2025 season. The numbers are stellar for a college kid. However, his performance has been completely overshadowed by his antics.

During a Jan. 4 home game for Arizona State against Colorado, Freeman was ejected from the contest after being given a Flagrant 2 foul due to seemingly knocking a Buffaloes player in the groin area.

Only weeks later, Freeman was slapped with another ejection in a home defeat against rival Arizona after he headbutted the opponent’s star guard, Caleb Love.

After being ejected not once, but twice, Arizona State hit Freeman with a suspension and he missed the Feb. 9 loss at Oklahoma State.

Since then, there’s been tension between Freeman and ASU, and it’s now escalated into head coach Bobby Hurley kicking him off the Sun Devils.

What a moron to just throw your career away like this.
