Mark Wahlberg’s Grueling Pre-Dawn Workout Routine Revealed

While many stars have grueling workout routines, not many compare with Mark Wahlberg‘s grueling schedule.
He originally shared his schedule in 2018, waking up at 2:30 am to start his day with plenty of workouts, nutritional food, and other activities before being with his family. After four years, the actor has relaxed his lifestyle somewhat, sleeping in to 3:30 am or even 4 o’clock.
If you want to learn more about Mark Wahlberg’s schedule, keep reading below.
Mark Wahlberg’s RoutineThe famous actor’s routine includes multiple workouts, a lot of snacks, and an early wake-up call. Today, he has tweaked the schedule, but many of the things stay the same.
Some featured steps Wahlberg takes to keep his health and body in tip-top shape are taking ice baths and intermittent fasting. The cold plunge helps with muscle recovery after workouts and helps him wake up in the morning.
In an Instagram video, you can enjoy Wahlberg dipping into the water, commenting, “All right, wow. Everywhere we go, we’re getting that ice bath. Now, we’re getting that ice bath love. Cold life…you know what, hey, I stay living that cold life. Wow, that’s a lot of ice right there. I’m gonna have to send some back—put some on ice for tomorrow.”
Today, his schedule has been tweaked. Now, he wakes up between 3:30-4:00, takes vitamins and prays, works out, and then answers emails and calls. He’s also added intermittent fasting into his routine, eating between roughly noon to 6 pm.
Typical ScheduleIf you want to follow Wahlberg’s 2018 routine, here’s the full schedule:
Food is just as important as working out, and Mark Wahlberg has it down to a science. During an interview, Wahlberg described his day in food.
He said, “I start out with steel oats, peanut butter, blueberries and eggs. Then I have a protein shake, three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato at about 5:30 in the morning. Then at 8, I have about 10 turkey meatballs. At 10:30 a.m., I have a grilled chicken salad with two hard-boiled eggs, olives, avocado, cucumber, tomato, and lettuce. Then at 1 o’clock, I have a New York steak with green peppers. At 3.30 p.m., I have grilled chicken with bok choy. At 5.30/6 o’clock, I have a beautiful piece of halibut, cod, or sea bass with some vegetables—maybe some sautéed spinach and bok choy.”
Sounds delicious, along with being packed with protein and essential nutrients.
Plus, sometimes consistency is the best way to success, as Wahlberg has the same breakfast every morning, with three boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, lean turkey, and salmon, garnished with lemon and blueberries.
In a clip on Instagram, Wahlberg shows off the dish, captioning it with, “I eat the same breakfast every day but I feel better every day!!”
Finding a Family BalanceWith all his activities, does Mark Wahlberg still have time for his family? The answer is yes.
With such an early wake-up time, Wahlberg says, “Most of the time I get to work out and do all my stuff while my family’s asleep – especially on the weekends.”
By the time the family is awake and moving around, Wahlberg has completed his routine and is ready to be a family man.
While it may seem like a grueling schedule, it works for Wahlberg, and with some tweaks and dedication, perhaps it could work for others, too.
